A network connection to the speakers is only required if you’d like to make more detailed sound adjustments beyond what the 4-band EQ on the back panel offers. To do this, you can either use the fully parametric 6-band EQ in Advanced Mode or take advantage of the A Series' integration with Sonarworks.
Both options require the A-Control software, which communicates with the monitors via the network connection.
In most cases, there’s no need to keep the monitors permanently connected to the network, since these settings typically don’t need to be changed frequently.
Please note that audio is always transmitted in analog via the XLR or RCA inputs.
